Gallery K sits on a difficult corner site in central Oslo, wrapped on two sides by the street. The brief asked for flexible, top-lit rooms that could hold everything from a single sculpture to a full survey show — without ever feeling like a warehouse.
Our answer was a folded roof that draws even northern light deep into the plan, and a circulation route that lets the gallery re-hang around visitors rather than closing. Concrete, oak, and glass are left honest and unadorned, so the work on the walls is always the brightest thing in the room.
